Chapter Events & Activities

Phi Chi is proud to be a part of AOII, an international fraternity, with members all over the globe and chapters in the US and Canada. Each chapter is unique, but all are AOIIs. The following is bits of information about the girls in our chapter and the events that we participate in on and off campus.

We, being students at the University of Chicago, are not all about fun (as I am sure rumor holds). Our international philanthropy is Arthritis research. These are a couple of events that we have held on campus to raise not only money, but also awareness:

AOII blood drive
Arthritis Walk
Valentine's Day Rose Sale
Halloween Pumpkin Sale
Blind Date Auction
AOII Dating Game
Chill out with AOII
Warm Up with AOII

There are also times however that we just feel like chilling with each other and for those we put together sisterhood events. Here are a couple of things that we put together just to a take a break from our hectic social and academic schedules:

New Member retreat
Sisterhood potlucks
TV/Movie night
Dinner at Pizza Capri
Spa Day

I know that we’ve all heard the phrase University of Chicago where fun comes to die. Well just to prove that we as girls and sisters have fun with the rest of the campus here are some social events that we did all in the last school year:

Snowball
Bowling at Lucky Strike
Crush Party
Orly's date party
Intramural softball with Psi U
ROSEBALL FORMAL
80’s night

While we are all sisters and love to spend time with each other, we also enjoy spending our time involved in other areas. Here are some outside accomplishments and things that our sisters have been a part of:

To be updated soon

As you can see being a part of AOII means more than just being in a sorority, it’s a great chance to get out and have fun as well as a very motivating academic environment.

Phi Chi does not end with graduation however, our alumnae members prove that this is a friendship for a lifetime her is what some of them are up to now:

Jess Ansehl

Working in the biological business sector in New York.

Lynn Rehn

Working in the financial sector in Chicago.

Betsy Wangard
