The sisters of Alpha Omicron Pi's University of Chicago chapter welcome you to our home page, be you a collegiate or alumna sister, family, friend or just someone interested in AOII. Joining AOII has easily been the best decision I’ve made during my college years. Having the opportunity to be a part of a diverse group of strong, poised, intelligent, and fun women has changed my life in more ways than I could imagine. At a school known for its intensity, the members of Phi Chi bring that same intensity to all of our endeavors, be it our impressive philanthropy projects, our high GPA, our fun sisterhood activities, or building our lifelong friendships.
A testament to the strength of our sisterhood is all of the firsts that the Phi Chi chapter has accomplished here on campus. We were the first sorority established on campus, and despite the prevailing sentiment that sororities could not survive at the University of Chicago, we have flourished, and subsequently two additional Pan-Hellenic Groups have joined our Greek community. In honor of our 25th anniversary this past year, the chapter worked to raise $20,000 to endow a scholarship that will be awarded each year to a Phi Chi. Quite possibly the most exciting thing we have pioneered is housing for sororities. We are the first sorority on campus to have official chapter housing, and we are absolutely thrilled to have this opportunity.
Phi Chi members work everyday to “exceed expectations” in all areas on campus and within the sorority, proving that driven and passionate individuals come together to form an impressive sisterhood with bonds that cannot be broken. We look forward to meeting you all during recruitment, and are excited at sharing the experience of a lifetime with you!
